PHILADELPHIA: Attorney Michael T. van der Veen, a founding member of the law firm of Kats, Jamison, van der Veen & Tinari, has moved to protect evidence in last week’s bus accident involving children from the Norris Square Day Camp by filing a writ of summons with the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. PHILADELPHIA: Attorney Michael T. van der Veen, a founding member of the Feasterville, PA, law firm of Kats, van der Veen & Associates, has won a $10 million settlement from Yellow Transportation on behalf of Richard Bonhomette on the fourth day of trial. Richard, then nine, suffered permanent and disabling injuries when he was hit in the cross walk outside Einstein Medical Center on his way home from school in March 2004. Assisting Attorney van der Veen were Anthony Bocchino, a lawyer at the Kats firm, and Nelson Levin, a recognized independent expert. Read More
